Free path and paid path, same product
Casual users want one image cleaned up right now; developers want to call it a thousand times from their own code. Most tools pick one and bolt the other on badly. Here the browser tool runs with no signup at all, and the documented API sits behind the same engine — so the free use is genuinely useful rather than a crippled teaser, and the paid tier sells capacity rather than access.
Three steps, and the third is the file
Upload, process, download. No intermediate account wall, no emailed result, no “check back in a few minutes”. Every extra step between an image and a transparent PNG is a place people leave, and for a tool whose whole promise is speed, an interruption undermines the claim more than it costs in clicks.
Edges are the product
Background removal is judged entirely on hair, fur and semi-transparent edges — the parts a crude mask destroys. That is where the work went, and why the landing page leads with a before-and-after someone can drag rather than a paragraph claiming accuracy. A tool like this is believed by demonstration or not at all.
